Conditions for the Australian 888B Investment Visa

The applicant needs to meet the following conditions:

  • Maintain an investment of $2,500,000 AUD until the 888B Visa is granted, with a minimum period of 3 years.
  • Reside in Australia for at least 2 years within a 3-year period
  • Comply with all Australian laws and refrain from participating in any illegal activities.

Process for the Australian 888B Investment Visa

  • Step 1: The applicant submits an expression of interest and applies for a nomination from an Australian state or territory.
  • Step 2: Once approved, the applicant will receive an invitation to apply from the Australian government..
  • Step 3: The applicant proceeds to submit the 188B visa application according to the provided guidelines.
  • Step 4: After submitting the application, the applicant must transfer funds into the investment fund and will be granted the 188B visa.
  • Step 5: With the 188B visa, the applicant and their family can move to Australia to begin living and carrying out the required investment activities.
  • Step 6: Upon meeting all necessary requirements, the applicant submits an application for the 888B visa.
  • Step 7: Once the application is approved, the applicant and their family will receive permanent residency in Australia.

Note: Currently, there is no specific processing time for the 888B visa

Documents for applying for the 888B visa

To apply for the 888B visa, you need to prepare the following documents:

Personal identification documents:

  • Recent passport-sized photo taken within the last 6 months
  • Copy of a valid passport
  • Valid ID card (CMND/CCCD)
  • Birth certificate
  • Marriage certificate (if applicable)
  • Documents related to name change (if applicable)

Proof of Nomination

  • The applicant needs to apply for a new nomination from the state where they have invested.
  • Complete all required information in Form 1414.

Proof of Investment

  • Confirmation letter from the Australian Treasury stating that the applicant has maintained an investment of at least AUD 2,500,000

Proof of Obligations:

  • Provide documents proving that you have been conducting legal investment and business activities in Australia
  • Submit records showing that you have paid taxes fully and on time to the Australian government

Documents/Procedures for Dependents (if applicable):

  • Necessary identification documents.
  • Documents proving the relationship between the applicant and family members.

  • 4,890 AUD for the applicant.

  • 0 AUD for dependents under 18

(Note: This fee applies if dependents aged 18 and over do not meet the IELTS score of 4.5. The applicant has not paid this fee during the 188B temporary visa application.)
