  • Must meet health and character requirements.

Investment Requirementsu:

Invest at least 5,000,000 AUD (~87.5 billion VND) into eligible investment funds as per Australian Government regulations. This investment must be maintained until the 888C visa is granted, with the earliest possible time being 3 years.

Allocation Structure:

  • At least 1 million AUD (~17.5 billion VND) into funds focusing on start-ups, venture capital, and private equity (Venture Capital & Private Equity Fund).
  • At least 1.5 million AUD (~26.3 billion VND) into funds targeting emerging companies listed on the Australian stock exchange (Emerging Companies Fund).
  • At least 2.5 million AUD (~43.8 billion VND) into balanced investment funds (Balancing Investment Fund).

Process for Obtaining the Australian Significant Investor Visa ( 188C)

Notes on the 188C Visa Program

If, after 5 years, the investor is not yet eligible to transition to the permanent 888C visa, they can apply for an extension of the temporary 188C visa for up to an additional 4 years. This means the total duration can be extended up to 9 years for applications invited after July 1, 2021.

Conditions for Extending the 188C Visa:

  • The applicant must not have a history of extending the 188C visa previously.
  • The applicant must continue to maintain the minimum investment of 5 million AUD throughout the extension period.
  • The applicant must fully comply with all other conditions related to the 188C visa, including residence, investment activities, and legal obligations.

Documents Required for 188C Visa Application

To apply for the 188B visa, you need to prepare the following documents:

Personal identification documents:

  • Color copies of valid passport pages
  • National ID card
  • Proof of name change (if applicable)

Business, investment, and asset documents:

  • Form 1139A.
  • Personal assets: Cash assets (bank statements), real estate (title deeds, property valuations), personal loans (loan agreements, loan statements), stocks & bonds (proof of ownership, market value).
  • Business assets: Financial statements (balance sheets, profit and loss statements, income and expenditure notes), proof of equity ownership in the business (company history extracts, annual shareholder profits, cooperation agreements, trusts or franchises, etc.).
  • Investment plan: List of investments, regulated investment funds. Note that investment activities can only be undertaken upon receiving an invitation from the Australian Department of Immigration.
  • Source of investment funds: Documents proving the legality of the funds: Proof of ownership, business performance, and profit distribution; Proof of investment activities and investment performance; Legal certificates or wills. Bank statements proving ownership over a specific period; Proof of asset linkage to declared sources.

English proficiency certificates:

If the applicant and accompanying individuals over 18 do not have an English certificate (IELTS minimum 4.5), they will need to pay an additional language fee (only if required by the Department of Immigration).

Health documents:

The designated medical facility will send the health examination results to the Australian Department of Immigration.

  • 6,930 AUD for each accompanying person aged 18 and over
  • 3,470 AUD for each accompanying person under 18 years old
